Review: Nikon D750 FX-format Digital SLR Camera (Should you buy this camera?)
The reason behind being best about this camera is its superior tracking ability to move objects in low light and high light conditions. Capturing wildlife, especially birds in flight are not easy subjects to capture, but that makes easy with Nikon D750.
You can also enjoy shooting live bands even after knowing that they have very challenging lightning situations because D750 can handle it pretty well. The D750 is an impressive and enjoyable camera. This camera has all the necessary features that any photographer would love to have in a single camera.
This is an awesome camera, and it is fast, smooth, and the focus is deadly accurate and instantaneous. This is a super light and slim for a full-frame DSLR. The grip is deep and gives you pleasure when you hold it, and this is the first thing that you will notice when you own this camera. Their controls are easy to manage, and its shutter is quiet and smooth.
Images that you capture with this camera are very sharp with good glass and colors are accurate. There is no reason to hate this camera. If you compare the Live View response of this camera with the D800, then it has dramatically improved.
Even though the refresh rate isn't near the DF level which feels instantaneous, but it is fast enough; the real difference is how soon your camera allows your input again after taking the first image with live view.
The tilt screen of this camera feels very solid, and this makes the D750 an excellent camera for those who shoot both stills and motion. The autofocus performance of this camera is mind-boggling. Even if you point your camera towards direct sunlight then also it is still not missing much at all, and you can always rely on it.
This camera has 2x SD slots instead of CF+SD which is not a deal-breaker, but if you are concerned about SD reliability, then you may want to keep this in mind. The button layout is similar to the consumer level camera but still retains enough similarities to the bigger brothers so that the pros wouldn't feel too unfamiliar.
To talk about the video portion of this camera, then, Nikon seems to have given more flexibility to customize the buttons for movie mode. The new movie settings menu is a very welcome addition, which would allow those of us who shoot video much more convenient access to the functions.
Wifi feature is an excellent addition in this camera which opens a new way for us to use our cameras. This allows us to extract photos out of the camera instantly and then distribute or manipulate them with our cell phones. The wifi features work beautifully and keep your camera apart from the other cameras.
In short, this is the dream camera for some of us — what a fantastic camera. New cameras are just adding their price, MP, and touchscreen which I am not a fan of on a camera and of course on a price. This model is a real gem, and I highly recommend it.
Of course, this camera is a photographers paradise. The most obvious thing about the digital SLRs is brand and lens mount that you're stuck once you buy them. Are you worried about the lens choices and optical quality? Then, you must know that the Nikon system is the best in the world.
Now let's talk about the sensors. Sensors have a variety of qualities, and the D750's is one of the best that has ever been built anywhere. With this camera, you can enlarge your photos to walls size and without losing any details.
Mechanically, a Nikon shutter is a little work of art whereas the shutter and aperture controls work perfectly. There are some settings you may find, such as self-timer, delayed actuation, double exposure, etc. This camera is an amateur for an amateur.
If you're short on skills but also obsessed with gadgets then you this could be the perfect body for you. You do not need to have a pro photographer rather if you have an old lens then with this camera you can take pretty pleasant pictures with your limited skills.
Miscellaneous:
- Battery meter shows shots left on the battery, as well as the age of the cell.
- The view screen articulates 90 degrees up or down.
- In 3D focus mode, the camera chooses the focus point.
- The D750 has a radio slave that can control two blanks of flashes.
You have to purchase the flash hot shoe cover or a screen protector because the D750 does not come along with it. Additionally, the charger also not come with a cord, but its the type that can plug directly into a wall. But, if you wanted one, then you can buy a cord separately.
Should you buy the D750?
This is a choice over D600/D610 because D750 is not much far better than D600/D610. If you want full-frame image quality and if you have a big budget then you should definitely go for it. Otherwise, D600/D610 is not also the wrong choice.
A little extra and the more sensitive AF of the D750 is just a beautiful thing to have in a camera. If you do not shoot in very dim light or if you do not shoot any super fast object and in case of buying an expensive camera you want to spend that money on buying lenses, then D610 is more capable.
But if you are even tighter on your budget, then D600 is also not a wrong choice at all; instead, this would cost you even cheaper than D610 and D750.
If you do not mind spending a few extra dollars, then D750 would be a great choice over D600 and D610 in every aspect.
